look it! look it!

I always like it when little kids try to say something and say it in the cutest way! As I listen to music from every genre, and think about songs that I would like to make, I realize how we naturally search for something to satisfy. So easily we look in the wrong direction; relationships, materials, activities, accomplishments, and the list goes on. I do this everyday, and in my heart I know that everything will let me down whether I want to admit it or not. Nothing is so perfect that it will satisfy my deepest longings, except for one thing. Jesus is perfect, and perfectly satisfies all my needs and wants. He makes me understand that my needs and wants, are not what it is all about, but out of His goodness He cares for me. God is the attraction of our deepest longings. I like the way Piper puts it on page 21 of Seeing and Savoring Jesus Christ, "We are all starved for the glory of God, not self. No one goes to the Grand Canyon to increase self-esteem." I need to remember to value Christ above all because He is the only valuable part in life, and let His joy fill me. I R and P today, and if God wills, I will continue. May God overflow your cup!
